We are a Christian family that lives in northern Kansas on a small acreage. We produce all natural grass-finished beef and pasture-raised turkey and chicken. We also have a herd of dairy goats and we sell fresh milk and dairy products such as yogurt, and cheeses and soap.

We have desired to buy more acreage to have room to settle down on with the children for many years. When we moved back from Korea in 2000, we bought our current home with 20 acres, but still felt the Lord wanted us somewhere else, and we needed more land. Tom retired from the Army but works as a civilian contractor at Fort Leavenworth. After six years of prayer and searching, the Lord led us last August (2007) to buy an acreage an hour west of our current dwelling. We are hoping to build a house on this acreage and move there.

The purpose of this blog is to show the faithfulness of the Lord in our lives, as well as to give you a glimpse of our life on the farm.

Tom & Danatom is currently working full time as a military contractor on Fort Leavenworth. He retired from the Army after 22 years of serving his country in 2003. He enjoys farm work, tending to the animals, and is very talented; but most of all, he loves being with his family. We could not ask for a more loving or caring leader and father!

dana is our homemaker and keeps very busy with regular duties...which include cooking, ironing, gardening, and schooling the children. She occasionally finds time to expand knowledge about her interests, such as canning, growing vegetables for the family, and herbs & nutritional healing. She is a Nutritional Herbologist and is very knowledgeable on herbs and their uses. She keeps the farm "running" and does all the business contacts. She takes great care of us!

Brandonbrandon ('84) is currently serving his country in the U.S. Army, deployed in Iraq.

Sarahsarah ('91) enjoys sewing, playing piano and harp, photography & image editing, publishing The King's Blooming Rose magazine for young ladies, studying theology & Constitutional Law, and learning homemaking skills. She is the farm photographer, designs & maintains the family website, and makes our mozerella cheese.

Nathan milkingnathan ('95) is our our goat milker and faithfully milks the four goats twice a day! He enjoys being outside with his brothers and playing violin--it has been neat to see him progress as he is helping Samuel learn also. He helps Mom practice cello as well.

Jonathan

Born on Nathan's second birthday in Korea, jonathan ('97) is our great inventor! He can figure out how to make or use just about anything, and often puts his skills to use by fixing damaged fencelines. Jonathan is the cattle & chicken caretaker, and animal waterer. He enjoys playing outside, climbing trees, and being in the woods. He plays piano and harp; he has a skill for music.

Rachael
rachael ('99) was also born in Korea--her name means “little lamb of God” and she was born on Easter morning. She enjoys being with her brothers and is usually involved in about anything they are doing. She likes to cook, be outside, and play piano and harp.

Samuel
samuel ('01) is quite a character, being the youngest! He is always with his big brothers and loves to zoom around on his bike, climb trees, “hunt” animals, and play violin. He is our egg collector and processor.
