Thoughtful Customers
We have the greatest customers! Several customers gave us gifts at Christmas time - thank you Terri, Suzy, Natalie and Elisa for the pretty flowers and healthy treats! Last week one of our customers brought us some homemade marshmallows and sent a book to us, which we can use as we develop our business plan for this coming year. Thank you Cristy! She has a marketing major and has lots of great ideas for us as we expand our business. We plan to triple the number of chickens, turkeys and pork we are producing this year, as well as adding more raw milk. Adverting is an area we will have to increase also. Thank you to all our customers for your support!

Friends and Growers Conference
Rosanna, Sarah and Sneaker, Joanna, and Rachael
Last weekend, we had a visit from some friends, the Baumans [see Broilers: Butcher Day], from Cedar Valley Farm. While attending the Great Plains Vegetable Growers Conference, Rosanna, and her sister, Joanna, spent the night in our home. Rosanna was one of the speakers for the conference. We had a wonderful time together...talking, reading, and sharing until late hours.
Rosanna was a speaker at the conference and gave a session on farmer's markets. She began a market in her small town which has been a great success for their community
The crew listening to the key note speakers, the Arnoskys
The Arnoskys from Texas, have a very large cut flower business. They shared relevant information regarding both growing flowers and marketing flowers. Information applicable for any business.

Christmas Day
Christmas Blessings from the Bryants!
This Christmas the Lord really showed me the significance of this event—Christmas—that we celebrate. I have been studying the Old Testament; throughout this time in history, exhortations are given to trust Jehovah for their salvation—which was done through the symbolic sacrifices and priests. These acts in themselves were not worth anything, but they reminded the people of their helplessness and ackowledged their need of salvation from sin.
Finally, after many centuries, God fulfilled that promise that He gave at the beginning of time: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:15) God sent His Son as a humble baby in a stable that dirty shepherds came to welcome! "As the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us." (Luke 2:15)
As I ponder the thought that for so many years those Hebrews lived and died without the Redeemer, simply trusting in an unseen, unfulfilled promise - I feel incredibly priviledged to see the promises of God manifested in the human body of Jesus. God is so faithful to fill His promise! And I am here to witness this Promise!
Realizing this significance has given me a deep gratitude for Jesus during this season when we celebrate His birth. It gives me a new perspective — it is not just the birth of a baby who saved us from sin - but it is THE fulfilled promise. He is the Messiah! He is our Christ! I hope each of us will realize the greatness of this fulfillment — that this is not a time just to give gifts or have fun. It is a time we set aside to celebrate His appearance and thank the Lord for His faithfulness.
"For unto you is born
this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11)
